Scrum Product Owner Training

Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC™) certification exam is designed to confirm the applicant’s practical and working knowledge of Scrum that equips them to handle the business aspects and stakeholders in a Scrum environment.

The Product Owner represents the interests of the stakeholders in the Scrum Team. Commonly called ‘the voice of the customer,’ the Product Owner is responsible for ensuring clear communication of product or service functionality requirements. The Product Owner also prioritizes the requirements from the point of view of an end user, for maximum business benefit, defines the Acceptance Criteria, and ensures those criteria are met.

Applicants will be awarded the Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC™) certificate by SCRUMstudy upon successfully passing the certification exam.

Audience Profile

This certification is appropriate for anyone who is interested in working as a Scrum Product Owner or for someone who is already a Scrum Product Owner in his organization. Scrum Product Owner is an important role in any Scrum team and need not be a technology expert to be effective. Moreover, although Scrum is popular in the IT industry, it can be used effectively across different industries. The SBOK Guide, on which the SPOC course is based, can be used as an effective guide for implementation.

Prerequisites

There is no formal prerequisite for this certification. However, it is preferable to complete the Scrum Developer Certified (SDC™) or the Scrum Masters Certified (SMC™) certification before applying for the Scrum Product Owner certification. It is also highly recommended to attend a 2-day SPOC™ classroom or online self-study training provided a SCRUMstudy approved Authorized Training Partner (A.T.P.) such as The Agile Site – theagilesite.com

• 140 questions per exam
• One mark is awarded for every right answer
• No negative marks for wrong answers
• 180 minutes duration
• Proctored online exam.

Expected Outcome:

The participants will be prepared to take SPOC™ certification exam and pass. Also, they will be able to apply the concepts in their day-to-day job.

Maintaining Certification:

To maintain the certification status, Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC™) professionals will need to earn 40 re-certification credits every 3 years.

1. Register on The Agile Site (theagilesite.com) to attend a classroom training provided and to take the Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC™) exam.
2. Access the online course and take the exam
   • Get access to the online course on ‘Introduction to Scrum’.
   • Copy of SBOK™ Guide online version
   • Schedule the three-hour proctored exam.
   • SCRUMstudy verifies
   • the application; confirms the exam date & time.
   • Take the three-hour proctored exam online. Learn and take the exam.
3. Upon successful completion of the exam get an online certificate.
   • Your name will be added to the SCRUMstudy Certification Registry.
   • If unable to pass the exam, you can schedule again and take a maximum of two free exam retakes.
